Welcome to Gijima Express

Gijima Express was established as an express freight service operating between Durban and Empangeni at the beginning of Richards Bay’s development. From those early days we have been based in Empangeni. The previous owner Patrick Fabricius, a born and bred Zululander, had identified a need for daily express services operating between the two major ports.

Gijima’s simple philosophy of ‘We run the straight and narrow’, is backed by their competent and loyal staff members, that they have retained over the years, who have built the Brand culture and continue to safe guard this on a day to day basis in dealing with customers. In reflection we will flourish toward every nook and cranny as we expand through your business, carrying forth our service with excellence and honor.

We have over the years expanded our footprint covering Kwazulu Natal, Western Cape, Bloemfontein, Polokwane as well as the Gauteng area.

We have depots in Durban (Briardene), Isithebe, Empangeni, Richards Bay & Johannesburg. We also have depots in 18 Branches of the Coastal farmers’, stretching from Pongola in the Kwazulu natal North coast to Port Edward in the South. We use associated couriers to all major centers in South Africa and road couriers to most destinations in KZN and Gauteng.
